Apple added Rolfing® as an official business category on Apple Maps. If you’re a Certified Rolfer® or Certified Advanced Rolfer®, this changes how people find you. Your practice can now show up correctly when someone searches for Rolfing® near them, instead of getting buried under generic massage or chiropractic listings.
Rolfing® is a registered trademark of the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute. Only graduates and members of the Institute can use the term to describe their work. This new Apple Maps category respects that distinction and gives verified Rolfers a category built for what they actually do.
- Log in to Apple Business Connect with your Apple ID.
- Search for your business by name or address to see if it’s already listed.
- If it shows up, click “Claim this place” or “Claim this business.” If it’s missing, select “Add new listing” instead.
- Verify ownership. Apple will confirm this through an automated call, a text message, or business documents you submit.
- Once verified, set your category to “Rolfing Service” and update your hours, website link, logo, and photos.

That last step is where a lot of practices lose ground. An outdated photo or a broken website link undoes the work you just put into claiming your listing. Your Apple Maps profile should point to a site that loads fast, ranks for the right keywords, and actually represents your practice.
Your website should be more than just a brochure. Torque Media builds websites for Rolfers that use the right content and terms to reach the people already searching for you. We handle the small tasks that eat up your time and cost you appointments, things like this Apple Maps update, so you can stay focused on the client in front of you. Most of our website plans already include this kind of ongoing management.
If your site isn’t pulling its weight, let’s talk. Reach out for a consultation and we’ll see what’s missing.
